Sten-Tel Clarifications
Subject: Sten-Tel Clarifications

Hello Milton's Red Stapler.  I have enjoyed reading a number of your commentaries. You appear to take genuine interest in the industry and in maintaining a "level playing field".  I am the President of Sten-Tel and was directed to this site because of a claim that reports may have been posted.  That obviously concerns me due to the possibility of HIPAA breech.

In reading through the logs I noticed some interesting bantering about our pay structure, our hiring requirements, our externship program, our IC contract and the like.  While I have not been successful in locating the alleged postings of actual medical reports (though I would be grateful to get directed to any if there are, in fact, any here), the time spent searching for them has brought my attention to the possible benefit that could come from having MTSO executives making themselves available from time to time.

I wouldn't have time to dialog with MTs as a rule, but I'd much rather make myself availble from time to time to clarify the many errant perceptions that seem to be floating around.  What are your thoughts?  I'm asking you before I take it to the admin folks since you seem to be a straight shooter.

Subject: 48-hour pH test completed and extensive *physiatry* to view the findings which demonstrated

She states that she is unable to eat, continues to lose weight, and is having bouts of vomiting.  She did have her 48-hour pH test completed and extensive *physiatry* to view the findings which demonstrated that on the first night when she had vomited after her procedure, there were some episodes of breakthrough acid; however, the following day when she was tolerating a diet and had her AcipHex, her pH was well controlled, above a pH of 4, essentially the entire time.  Therefore, I discussed with the patient that her chest burning does not appear to be correlated with breakthrough acid of any significant degree and suggests the possibility that a lot of her chest pain and burning may be related to her anxiety and depression.
