Subject: differential WBC- please SM

WBC is 10,000 with 49% s/l PM ents, 39% bands, 5% lymphs, 5% monos, 1% eosinophils, and the MCB (membranous cystoplasmic body???) was 74.

Not sure what the first percent is measuring (49% s/l PM ents), and I've never heard of MCB.

TIA!

Help. Patient has polyuria.  Doctor dictates: Urine osmolality and electrolytes pending. Any ideas on what "Dis person" or what the rest of the sentence might be?  Thanks.

Subject: 2 types of anesthesia care -- see msg.

Local and MAC (monitored anesthesia care) are 2 types of anesthesia, so probably "Local/MAC" would be best. However, I don't think I have ever been dinged on QA for typing "Local MAC" with a space.

Here is a link to an article on anesthesia types.

1. S/L 'hausted' needle or 'halstead' needle.

2.  S/L 'suss-man' needle.

I will go to Ebay and find another one of these, since I'm apparently not getting mine back, but in the meantime I'd be SO thankful for any ideas!
