She has (erector spinae) stasis and that liposuction alone will not give her flat tummy - for plastic surgery actually sounds like he is saying "rectostonic stasis" ??? TIA!

Is there a preferred way to transcribe venostasis/venous stasis?  I've always typed venostatis (in reference to changes in the extremity).  QA person saying that venostasis is "treatment of CHF by compression proximal veins of the extremities with tourniquets" taken from Stedman's dictionary...  your thoughts?  Thank you!

"The patient had a right lower extremity venous stasis/venostasis and cellulitis."  These 2 sound exactly alike. Which is correct?  Thanks.

venous stasis vs venostasis.
Subject: venous stasis vs venostasis.

Both are correct. "o" is the combining form and thus acceptable as venostasis. Some dictators will use the combined form and some will use two separate words, I go with what the dictator says.

Ven = venous
stasis = cessation/impairment of flow thus ven "o" statis.

stasis= noun: an abnormal state in which the normal flow of a liquid (such as blood) is slowed or stopped

docs often say it...chronic stasis...also say "chronic stasis dermatitis, or changes, or ulcers" but I think "chronic stasis" alone is okay.
