The path of the LR is still dislocated into the temporocaudal quadrant of the globe and orbit, caused by scleral distension.

By 1980, Lane had shown that several nutrients (especially ascorbic acid, folate,
and trace-element chromium) support effective action of the ciliary muscle in binocular accommodation, while other nutrients such as calcium apparently complex with collagen, which itself complexed with the glycosoaminoglycans in the vitreum and sclera and thereby resist scleral distension and myopic progression.

Ok, heres my sentence,

I don’t detect any distension of the urinary bladder.

Is it distension or distention. I looked it up and it says the same definition for both, but am wondering which I should use in a medical report.

Thanks in advance.
