    bilateral caloric weakness
    Subject: bilateral caloric weakness

The caloric test is a part of the ENG. It reflects an attempt to discover the degree to which the vestibular system is responsive and also how symmetric the responses are, between left and right. It is a test of the lateral semicircular canals alone -- it does not assess vertical canal function or otolithic function. While not as good as we would like, the caloric test is the best that we have.

As used herein "negative spherical aberration" in reference to a lens means that the optical power decreases as the value of diameter increases. The amount of spherical aberration depends on the diameter. For a lens having a negative spherical aberration, its optical power at the center is larger than an optical power at any diameter. It should be understood that where a lens having a negative power (e.g., -6 diopters),

This is something my ortho docs dictate a lot, usually in a series, i.e., no giving way, weakness, swelling, patellar pain, etc.

It could also be as you have it - give-way or giving-away weakness, just depending on the doc.
