Subject: Consultation ?

It probably is nothing more than a simple "consultation", as sometimes those problems could be managed by Orthopedics alone without the need for surgical intervention...or the diagnoses confirmed and referred to an Orthopedic Surgeon for further care.

Subject: IV consultation?

Has anyone heard of someone getting an "IV" consultation while in the hospital?  It's a non-english speaker and wonder if I'm hearing "IV" correctly.  The patient has hyperkalemia, hypertension, and osteomyelitis if that helps.  Tx
