Any idea what MSP could stand for here? This is on an ortho patient with Alzheimers, anemia, and diarrhea. She recently had a total shoulder. Doc is ordering CBC, what sounds like "MSP," and stool.

It's pretty clearly spoken.

    Subject: "melanotic" stool--fact or fiction??

Okay, when I was in transcription training I got this wrong--supposedly there is no such word as "melanotic," at least when it refers to stool.  And yet when I google it, I find it. What's the final word on this term from all you experienced MTs out there?? Is it "melanotic" or "melenic" or neither one??
