tendinitis, as per Stedmans Electronic Medical Dictionary 7.0

Posted By: sm on 2009-04-11

Subject: tendinitis, as per Stedmans Electronic Medical Dictionary 7.0

Tendinitis:  Because this word is based on the Latin word tendo, with a genitive singular form of tendinis, and a combining form that is therefore tendin, the spelling tendonitis is irregular.

I love it when we can "out wit" them. Of course a lot of these guys, not only ESLs, make up the stuff. The first thing they taught  was about the prefixes etc in the old transcription classes. I had been typing for about 2 years when they offered the class at a junior college where my husband was attending, he got me the book, which I still have, and I almost keeled over at all the different combos etc.
