PR/ER positive or negative - it's used in tissue diagnosis for breast cancer I do believe....or some sort of cancer and DNA is correct.......not sure about what you are asking about the PRA/ERA....PR Assay or ER Assay but it's assay........not capital in the word, itself......

Subject: Help with one word on breast exam, please.

Doctor dictates:

"I think the largest of her multiple breast nodules should be ultrasound core-biopsied in order to exclude the possibility of a Fah-LOI-dees," although given their size, this is unlikely, but given that they have increased in size, it may be possible."

Thank you for your help!

It is EVERT, not AVERT, right? I have always typed it with an E but I have a PA who keeps insisting it is A.  I always thought Avert applied to gaze, as if to look away.  Just want to make sure everting the eyelid is the right term.  TIA.

Tongue of tissue
Subject: Tongue of tissue

Anyone ever heard of a "tongue" of intestinalized tissue.  Pnt has Barret's and is having an EGD and twice I heard what sounds like "tongue" of tissue.

Sentences are -

1.  Preop diagnosis - Tongue of intestinalized tissue extending from the GE junction.

2.  On withdrawing the scope the patient's GE junction was regular with a tongue of pink tissue extending less than 2 cm.

I can't find it.  Thanks.
