this is another case of a doctor thinking he knows it all and spelling it incorrectly - he never did state the term, he just spelled it, which makes me suspect he does not know HOW to pronounce it! I painfully put what he dictated and will let him worry about it! Thanks again!

Subject: ok...did more research...it's "pillar" sm

Apparently in CTS release, "pillar pain" is common. Found this:
After surgery, the healing edges of the ligament beneath the skin are usually tender for at least four to six weeks after the procedure. Temporary tenderness on each side of the palm where the ligament is attached to the bones on each side of the palm to these bones is common after surgery and is called "pillar pain". This generally resolves gradually. Hand therapy is often helpful during recovery.

Not to flame but how is she doing it "on her own" with a full critique done here in public.  And I'll ask again, why isn't her QA helping her in the way they want her trained or giving her links to document her answers so she can research.  One learns better when one does for themselves rather than being fed by the silver spoon.

Subject: Yeah, but I believe the OP did mention that research had been done...sm

The OP had used Google and found instances of both words being used. Sounds more like the OP was looking for some help with the proper usage of the word in the context of a report. I don't see why she (or he) caught any grief for asking for opinions on the proper term to use.
