"ICs remain so"

Okay, now I am getting confused. Who are you quoting? Also, I thought we were all statutory, as we do have OASDI and Medicare taken out of our paychecks. Indepent contractor means you have absolutely no taxes taken from your gross pay, you received the whole amount and then have to pay your own taxes, all of them.

Did you ask her for how long it would remain the same?
See, there are lies, and then there are lies by omission.

Of course, your pay has not changed YET. Therefore, she technically did not lie.

Now had you asked her for how long your pay would remain the same, I'll be you would have had an entirely different answer...If an answer at all.

I really don't mean to be snarky, but were a lot of people really so naive as to buy into this merger from the get-go? Maybe I've just been through so many of them that I'm jaded and know what's going to happen a few steps before it's actually announced.

I assumed they would remain the same until 1/1/10
And then who knows whether those who chose to stick it out will have a pay cut...or if they'll even have a job at all.

Not sure legally because we're under contract until 01/01/2010 if they can tamper with or wages until then. You can bet once that magical day approaches, IMO, the cuts will occur. DEEP cuts.
Where did you go and remain at that rate?

I am only at 10 cpl and cannot find anywhere that pays close to that.

Which three offices will remain open?
Do you know?
they will remain 2 separate entities

cbay and MQ.  As far as buying them out, Cbay has bought 70% shares from Phillips Electronics who originally had the interest of stocks.  Cbay was only able to do this through 2 huge financial corporations one located in UK and the other in the US.  we will remain under the financial guidance of cbay holdings who is currently going through changes in management.

I have steady work and see my primary work steadily throughout the day with 2 other accounts. The pay could be better since they reduced the rate when doing ASR work but it is still higher than other companies pay for ASR.  You have to speak up for yourself when you feel you deserve a raise. They won't come to you so make sure you go to them when you feel its time.  I try to stay positive and throughout the major changes which started about 2 years ago I have remained here when I thought I would not last and there were always people doubting they would not last.  I even went to work for another company and decided to go back to MQ.  Maybe it was not the right fit but it takes time finding the right one and I still might explore other opportunities but I have gained so much experience here as far as medical transcription is concerned.

Hope this helps a lot.  good luck to you.

I agree 100%. People should know better, but those of us are who loyal will remain so.

Furthermore, I would like to know how the Indians remain HIPAA compliant when there are 27 of them

I'm not ready to leave yet, so will remain anon sm
but I did want to just say that not any one company is all that for everyone.  I personally know at least three people who have not had a good experience with this company, one of which is me.  I choose to remain anonymous because I am still working there for personal reasons but will be making a change here in a couple of months.  I thought they were wonderful at the beginning too but things have soured for many different reasons.  I don't say this to argue with anyone but just to say that this company is not for everyone and not everyone who works for this company is the greatest.
Just found out I have to buy error/omission insurance to remain IC. So long MDI.
