OP reports are the most difficult to learn, but I have found they are now the easiest for me to do and they are 90% of my work.  Dictators usually know what they are going to say and there is usually much less page ruffling, long pauses, etc. 


I know there are some companies who offer acute care w/o OP reports.  That might be an option, at least in the beginning.  Plus, any company I have worked for will ask you what reports you can do/like to do and will only assign those to you.  Easiest are usually discharge summaries and ER reports.   When I first started at the national, I only got DS.  Then a few months later they added OPs.  You shouldn't get thrown everything at once.
