Be Confident

If you apply for the job, do not tell them anything about not having enough experience to handle the work load or anything else. You are selling yourself when you send in your resume. When you get chosen for the position, then IF you can't keep up you can address at that time. It will be easier once you are already working for them to get them to work with you. Make sense?

If you're not confident that you can
receive a good reference from a former employer, don't use them. A former instructor might be a better choice. If the only issue was scheduling and you have a printed QA review, provide that as a reference.

BTW, many former employers will only verify that you worked there and the dates of employment to avoid lawsuits. Good luck to you.
I say be aggressive... You are selling your services and need to let them know you are confident
I just accepted a position after turning down 3 because they were not exactly what I wanted.  If you are pateint and know exactly what you want, you can usually get it, (unless of course you want to transcribe for a doctor who speaks clear english, spells the hard words, talks really slow, but not too slow, and acutally realizes you are on the other side of the earphones ----- I can dream can't I??)
