they found out that one of the counselors at Grady was stealing the belongings of the patients. Stole a beautiful wedding ring off the finger of a young mother and wife who later died. Once this story hit the news, people came out of the woodwork about their missing belongings. The counselor was arrested.

Don't forget the "certified" MT fiasco

Is it that what they called it?  Anyhow, they tell you that you have become one of their elite...which means jack squat, except they expect you to give up as much knowledge as you're willing to part with (on your own unpaid time, of course) sending in templates and tips so that they can pass that along to the India MTs and help them do a better job.  They assume that in the spirit of worldly brotherhood you will gladly do this, even though it hastens your demise as an american MT and an employee of Spheris.

knew something was up after the paycheck fiasco this summer . . . sm
this DOES not surprise me, and I am sure there is more coming in the future.
lol...it never would have occurred to me either. We must not be imaginative enough.
Either that or we just have too much integrity.
It just occurred to me - if it came as an email (sm)
just save attachment to your desktop.  When you hit the icon to send, if it doesn't show the address, just type in timesheets@transtech.com.  haven't had enough coffee today -
You know, it occurred for me to retire to one
of these off-shore places. Keep my dual citizenship. Live large on a tropical island, continue doing transcription and get the good work. Seriously. I'd make so much more over there for the cost of living and then, I could finally make ends meet...
What do you say, a bunch of us can infiltrate these places in the offices on the other islands, and then we'd have USA Transcriptionist as the offshore labor? No? Hmmm. Just a thought. LOL.
Has it occurred to you that since you're
the ONLY one who thinks they're the same thing and every other experienced MT, MTSO, hospital, and MT school disagrees, that perhaps you might actually be wrong?
OMG!!! Can you people just STOP? Has it occurred to you
that IF they are hiring they are hiring for new accounts coming on? If you really worked there, you would know that they have brought on several new accounts and the worked has picked up tremendously. Give it a rest and go crawl back in your hole, please!
