They are hiring because of both. Lots of MTs are leaving due to a new transcription/VR system being used that is not as MT friendly as the old one. They also have a new account coming on.
There are so many issues with the new system it is hard to take. I am told it could be up to 2 years before the new system will be completely operational with no issues causing down-time and increased production for the MTs. I personally am considering leaving because my line count has dropped 30 percent with the new system, and I am not in agreement with some of their management practices (managers who have never been MTs, so what if they are an RHIA) and QA staff being given more responsibilities who really don't know what their doing and teach the wrong information and can't spell in their emails.
