I'm sure this is just one of those butt-covering moves on the company's part.  Then if there is a question of liability they can say ''We told you to insure yourself'' and throw you to the wolves.  They would much rather a claim be made against YOUR insurance than theirs. 


You can't keep copies of your work because of HIPAA.  (And what a data storage nightmare it would be if you could keep copies of every report you transcribe forever, on the off chance you might need to vindicate yourself down the road.)


Without a copy of your original report, you cannot disprove a claim that you made an error, and a revision by QA or the doctor could be held against you.   


I left All Type about 18 months ago.  I found them rather goofy, especially the new director of operations and the payroll department.  My advice would be to keep looking.
