I went to visit my doctor recently, and he carried a lap-top computer-looking thing into the room. He used the magic pencil that was attached it to mark on the screen during most of our visit. When I asked him about it, he said he can update my chart, make changes to my file, etc. on it, and it's connected to the database, so it updates in real-time. He can be working on my chart at the same time other people from his office are accessing it. He no longer does any dictating except letters because of how effecient this little thing is, and he even said he can upgrade to eliminate having to dictate the letters. To top it off, he issued a prescription to me with a wave of he magic pencil, which printed at the front desk for me to pick up on my way out!!!! This futuristic system puts VR to shame!!
