ExecuScribe wants employees to take a psychiatric test. How creepy. I refused! sm

These companies want to know your psych.  I think that is privacy invasion, and I don't need a job that bad!  That was the last test they had me take.  I would have never bothered with them if I knew that in the beginning.  What a waste of time!

Execuscribe On-Line Test Score
Hi! I just tested with Execuscribe yesterday and recieved a score of 88%. Does anyone know if this is a passing score?  Thanks!!
Is that anything like psychiatric help?
You must be OSi QA...lol!
Psychiatric MT
Karen, I have sent you my resume.
psychiatric help
the only post calling anyone a dumb time bomb would be the one showing hostility and errr that was you - seems she just suggested another site and let Transcriptionist do their thing on their own time. talk about raw emotion, wonder what she would have said if she were calm. she must not make any money at all with that kind of attitude. I am with her - get a new forum for MTSO and let us be. or at the very least stop calling us dumb time bombs - maybe that is why the companies outsource - you guys push them there, not us.
Yes RE Psychiatric
I've worked for 1 year and 9 months for SPi-BPO (formerly CyMed) and love it.

In all that time, I can count on one hand the time I've run out of work--esp. since they give me SO many backup accounts as opposed to so many companies who won't even give you one.

It's doing Disability Determination notes, so there's about 20% orthopedic (back pain, etc.) plus a tiny bit of ophthalmology (people going blind), but the rest is ALL psychiatry.

Fascinating stuff.

Mention my name (Clifton Toth) when you interview, and if you work there for 90 days, I'll share my referral bonus with you.

Seriously, I've worked for at least 8 or 10 companies over the past 20+ years, and this has been my favorite by far (we won't talk about my least favorite--or three).

I'm disabled myself and they have no problem with only 15 or so hours per week, so long as I make my part-time quota of 2000 lines per week, the lowest quota I've ever encountered, though if you want full-time (for which the quota is double at 4000 lines/week, still very reasonable), I'm fairly sure they can accommodate that too.

My favorite part is the fact that they let you use previous reports from dictators as a template--and most are very well-spoken (I guess because it's government work and HAS to be accurate), with VERY few ESLs.

Just go to spi-bpo.com and click on Careers in the left margin, then, of course, Healthcare at the bottom; the application is completely online.

Good luck and let me know how it goes (CTToth@Yahoo.com).

The other day when this all started I refused to believe it but

yesterday I got a file back for QA review that was not mine that has the initials that were given the other day.  My heart instantly sank.  The file was huge, much bigger than I thought we were allowed to send in and what was underlined was quite a bit, more than I would ever dream of leaving in my own work.  To me it confirmed by worst fears.    I too thought about calling the office, but I really doubt we would get the truth if we have not received word about it up front.  I came to this company because of its reputation.  You never saw anything bad about them.  I have no idea if there are truly money troubles, but it does appear that way based on how things were to how they are.  It is all really sad, but to me I am carrying a firm belief at this point that it must be true.

blacklisted because I refused a job at TRS
Yes, that is true and was told that I did not have a job at the other company they thought I was going back to. They thought I was going back to a job that they are affiliated with, but I did not. So, all the hard work that went into them trying to black list me did not work.
Psychiatric work

Does anyone know of any good companies that have psychiatric work available?  Those jobs seem few and far between on any of the job postings.  Thanks!

Then you need serious psychiatric help. Either that, or you came from a service worse than MQ
worse than them.
I was black listed because I refused a job with TRS
Then, I was told they called the other company I as going back to and I would not be allowed to go back there either. Lucky for me, I had 2 jobs already.
They flat out refused to take out mine.

One of the many reasons I quit.  (Obviously, from the posts on this board, I quit just in time.)

My condolences to those of you who were treated badly.

i refused to accept a position
based upon their equipment, just for reasons like you stated. Not only cannot make money, but it makes your work-life miserable trying to cope with it. I'd rather take less-quality accounts and have easier days...
Psychology/Psychiatric work.

Does anyone know of any companies with psychology/psychiatric work?  I used to work on this speciality when I worked in house and really miss that type of work.

Thanks!

Psychiatric help is also expensive, but I think you should check into it anyway. nm

Maybe things changed since I quit there because I refused to buy
the equipment. It is not just a router, it has to be a Cisco router, Cisco modem, etc. And don't fall on the floor when you see the length of the gross lines, lol.
If everyone refused to do cesspool, they would change it fast!

Non-compete clauses in contracts. Has anyone refused to sign this and still got the job? nm

Usually a spelling test, a punctuation test, and maybe 3-6 test files to do. Sometimes done using

I took a test for a company and my foot pedal would work with the test and I had keep going back
over the dictation time and again to get all the words because I couldnt stop and start it by the foot pedal.  What can I do about this.
Just took the test myself. No actual dictation to transcribe. Just a written test.
For 13 cpl, I might do it if the dictators aren't a total horror.
I just took the test today - thought it was a great test of MT skills.
x
There is no written test. Must have been a different company. I took their ortho test sm
and it was easy. You had to know your terminology but it was easy to understand AND I used my foot pedal.
Oh for sure employees, but not too often for statutory employees. Sorry for confusion.

Attn: Any Transcend employees or former employees
I have been offered a job with Transcend, but I am not completely sure about it yet and I need some input from you guys.  I have read positives and negatives regarding this company but alot of it was pretty old information.  Can anyone give me some recent feedback on them?    Thanks very much!!!
Is the test through mttest.com a timed test? Thanks. nm

Execuscribe Mon-Fri
Their line commitment minimum is 4000 and you need a c-phone but can work days Mon - Fri. So far so good for me..i'm an employee.

Well, I actually was curious and drove to my local Wegman's to get a copy of RBJ.  Huge article, fairly presented facts, very informative.    No wonder she made "impassioned plea" to editor to not run the story.   Millions in fraud, self-dealing, and unjust enrichment, padded billings, defrauding creditors, fruadulent conveyance, along with other charges/convictions.   Changing your business name several times in 10 or so years.   Now in a $400,000+ home -- guess it beats the view from a jail cell!

Yah, thanks for putting the rest of us honest MTSOs in a negative light.  Smooth move....

I researched this company, too.  But, after reading the Business Journal article -- which is all fact, not just somebody's opinion --- I decided it was in my best interest as an MT with hopefully a long career ahead of me, not to associate myself with a many-time convicted criminal.  People have long memories on this stuff.  But, that's just my opinion.
Execuscribe
Rochester Business Journal dated 7/22/05. Interesting article about fraud convictions. Worth getting a copy of if you are considering employment there.

I live in the same town as Execuscribe and did not hear anything about legal problems. Can anyone point me in the direction of finding out?
Execuscribe
Thanks I will go check the library for a back issue of this magazine so I can read it myself. As an ex-MTSO whose business she took away, I'd like to read this. I've heard that her largest client is going to a fill in the blank type form and laptops for the doctors (from one of the doctors who work for the client) so we will see how long the company will stay a Fortune 500 company now.
Execuscribe
She paid Kodak an UNDISCLOSED AMOUT OF MONEY. Now, as the article said at the end, they are HOME FREE, yes a half millon dollar home free!

Tom Y. worked at Kodak in finances and was accused of making false payments to Execuscribe, owned by his wife. He was also sending business to people who were paying him a CUTBACK to do so, rather than the cheapest/best people for Kodak.

She was accused of being part of the MASTER PLAN.

She tried desperately in the end to put the company assests into her sons' names, but the court overruled on it.

So she eventually settled out of court and paid Kodak what they wanted. That was a private court case. The CRIMINAL CASE against Tom only was thrown out due to him having the best criminal lawyer in town who kept stalling and then the court said too much time had passed by. Otherwise, he may have done jail time, or at least community service and be on parole.

Any info on this company would be appreciated.
ExecuScribe does

Any info on Execuscribe from someone who works there?
ExecuScribe
Anyone know anything about this company?  Benefits, etc.?
Execuscribe
Has anyone had experience with Execuscribe. They are going to offer me a job.  I now work fulltime at an office and wonder whether I am making a mistake to go with them.
ExecuScribe

Has anyone worked for ExecuScribe.  Need some feedback on the company.

ExecuScribe
ExecuScribe allows you to use Shorthand.
Execuscribe
Does anyone have any information good or bad regarding this company? I noticed in some older posts from 2004 that they require you to carry worker's comp insurance - do they still do this?
Execuscribe
Yikes! That's pretty low. Thanks so much for the info!
Execuscribe
I have been working with Execuscribe for almost 1 year.  Pay may not be great, but they do count other things which other companies do not - i.e., bolding, capitals, italics, et cetera are counted as double letters.  I checked into other companies and actually made more with ExecuScribe because of their added counting.  They now have vacation although it takes a while to be able to take any time off.  Currently we use the C-Phone (although they are phasing that out), Fusion and I'm not sure what else since those are the two that I use (I work on two different accounts).  Hope this helps.
Execuscribe
Could anyone from Execuscribe tell me about the benefits offered?  Thanks in advance!
Execuscribe
I used to work for Execuscribe and live in the same city...low pay, slow pay and last fall a lot of the management team left to go back and transcribe elsewhere.  Paying on time got better when everyone was made employee but the pay went way down.  Their major account I have heard is giving all new docs laptops and using EMR so they are probably losing them department by department.  Hope this helps.
Execuscribe?
Any comments on how this company is to work for and general rate of pay, dictators, etc.?
ExecuScribe
Anyone have any info on this company.  Would appreciate anything.  Thanks!
