Used to always get glowing reviews, but that has changed.
But it's kind of sad. Quick growth can create difficult times for small companies, I think.
Probably part of why they get such glowing responses.

Medware please read message before glowing reply

I've seen glowly replies everytime anyone asks about Medware, but on looking into it I find a few things to be not  so great and am wondering why everyone who replies says they're wonderful?

First, top line rate 0.085 cpl doesn't seem really that great to me for someone with quite a few years experience in acute care.

Second, incentive pay only has one tier, so essentially anyone who can produce 150 lines per hour gets the same pay.  It seems like 150 lph should be able to done by even a newbie.

Third, the way to get a raise is to leave transcription (become an Editor sounds like).

Fourth, they obviously offshore!

Last, insurance while lower than some is still not really good.

With all these added up ... how does Medware still end up being AAMT top employer twice in the last five years and why does everyone on here rave about them?

Thanks for the Amphion recommendation
Applied with them last night and like what I see so far. With luck something will come of it. Certainly the mttest was a piece of cake, so I'm hopeful.

I appreciate your feedback on this--I've been trying to research the archives through the archives but just haven't made it all the way through, so it really helps when someone will speak up, even though it's probably a question that's been asked dozens of times already. Thank you very much.
Transcend recommendation.
Transcend is NOT ruthless and DOES care about its MLS!! I have worked for them now for going on 4 years and I can honestly say that they could not have done anything more to help me. Their team leads will give you another account if you have no work on the present one --- you will have work - I have NEVER had no work. They have sufficient team leads to help you and then ROMs that will pick up if the team lead cannot and then you can even depend on Larry Gerdes to help if you ever, ever have that great of a problem which I have never heard of but he is very approachable and there for you and has great communication. I would highly recommend Transcend to any member of my own family if they could just type! Transcend has alway treated me with respect and I have never wanted for more from an employer.
The problem with your recommendation is that you
company. The recruiter for DR is one of the best I have ever met. She is professional, smart, efficient and friendly to boot. However, how can I say it tactfully that after you happily go thru her door, you enter a whole new dimension, and it is horrible. I worked for a hospital account and was heartbroken at the conditions, particularly after having been so impressed with the recruiter. So, I just think its not fair to give praises for a company that you really have no experience with. Transcend, too, has an infamous recruiter but for other reasons.  That person promises the moon and then delivers you to Pluto, and without a hint of regret.  So, no, your recruiting experience usually has nothing to do with the actual job.
