I just interviewed and was told
after 3 months if you have hit the 11,000 lines they require per pay period as full time you get $500 and then you get the other $500 after 6 months of doing the same.
I just interviewed there and that's not what I was told for
s
I interviewed with them and told there is, I believe, a $20 rental
fee for a year, but if you are still there at the end of a year employment they refund the rental fees.
I interviewed a few months ago and was told:

First off, the recruiter/interviewer was so darned nice, incredibly down to earth, and an absolute pleasure to talk to.  After talking with them, I was really bummed I wouldn't be working for them because this interviewer person was just so real and someone I would love to know outside of work, ya know?  It wasn't just all robot-business speak, which is refreshing like you wouldn't believe.

Anyway, I was asked what I was looking for and said I needed to make a guaranteed minimum of 7000 lines per pay week, as I was sole suport for my household, and that I loved where I was now but was only looking to change employers because I needed benefits.

In an incredibly kind gesture of goodwill towards a fellow workhorse, I was told it would most likely never happen (the volume of work available to consistently earn a high line count), as this field has slow periods, as you must know, and a steady amount of work can never be guaranteed and that, for your situation, you would be best off with your current employer with no benefits and a plentiful work supply.  The mention of 30% VR and increasing day-by-day was also a huge put-off for me because, well, I hate that crap...and don't let anyone fool you, for the money you earn, it is most indeed crap and the joke is on the MT.

This place has a great pay rate, great benefits, but unfortunately the work flow cannot be guaranteed.  Scary prospect indeed when one can't work just for fun money for shoes and crap.  I couldn't believe the honestly and I was so appreciative of that.

I just interviewed with them, they told me a 1-hour window flexibility.
.
I tested and passed Med-Tech, interviewed and was told they had opening- but I guess

I made the mistake of typing the name IC as "individual" contractor, and the recruiter e-mailed me back with the corrected "independent" contractor, and later sent an e-mail and said they were not hiring and that if anything should become available, they would contact me.  I have since found that they have hired since that time, but no one ever contacted me again.  I figure it was "their loss", not bragging or boasting, but I know I would have been an asset to the company.  IMO

They seem to be a pretty together company though.  I occasionally go to their website and read their quarterly "whatever you call it," and they always have interesting information in their for transcriptionists, and about the company, and the QA standards and goals.   I would love to have worked there.   I hear they have good benefits too.

I make 4 cents a line, work part and make
over $500 a week on part.
Thanks for the info! Do you *feel* like you make more with a gross line v. character line? (nm)

Oh, they make money off us. Line rate is 17 cents a gross line.nm

I left MQ for TT. The base line rate was less at TT, but overall I make more per line with the
shift differential (I work second shift) and the incentive plan (I have never once failed to make at least an extra half cent per line on incentives - most of the time a penny). I was scared to death to make that move, as I had been with MQ since back in the Transcriptions Limited days. I have to say, though, that it was the best career move I have ever made and I have never, not once, regretted it.

I hope that was of some help.
I was also told that I had to make
4000 lines in order to have my 2nd phone line reimbursed.  How is that working for YOU?  I haven't missed my line counts ever and got the phone line installed in March.  To date, I have not received a single penny from them for the bills.  It's quicking heading towards $200 and I am at my wit's end!  The only thing the payroll person says it that sometimes it takes awhile.  I asked for a phone number so I could find out about it myself and got nothing!
I was told we have 3 months on VA to make the new production....
interesting, since no one can make it anyway, wonder what they are going to do about that?
REALLY??? They told me by the line!! nm
xx
I was told when I applied that if you need a computer KS will supply you with one, you then make pay
until it is paid off! Not a bad deal, and a good way to get a new computer.
I was told by recruiter they pay gross line
nm
When I asked about line count, was told they were working on getting that available but I worked

IC reimbursement
yes, they can legally do this...but please be careful...if you are TRULY an IC and receive a 1099 be sure to PAY YOUR OWN WAY. In the view of the IRS, one of the characteristics of an independent contractor is that s/he pays all travel expenses directly. If you approach this as an IC you can stay where you wish, bring whom you wish, and negotiate some of the costs with your client if they are kindly offering reimbursement. I suggest you contact them and see if there are alternative web-based solutions for their non-employee ICs to receive the needed training; if not, and this is a client you wish to retain, attending the training and writing off the expenses is just part of owning your own business....
I worked for a different company using Vianeta and could never access line counts. Was also told it
:+
hybrid reimbursement
Does that mean 500.00 on a used hybrid or 500.00 on any used car?
Reimbursement at Webmedx...isn't it...
that they'll reimburse you for half of your test fee if you are an MT. (Still, very generous. I took advantage of that when I recently got credentialed.)
Hybrid vehicle reimbursement?
I saw that on their ad.  What does this mean, you get a Hybrid they pay?  I thought that was interesting to know more.
Hybrid vehicle reimbursement?
It says that on their latest job posting. What exactly does that mean (other than the obvious)?
hybrid vehicle reimbursement?

can someone please tell me what TTS add means when it says hybrid vehicle reimbursement?  I'm just lost here..

And always make sure you don't make line
counts that amount to anything.  They always place you with impossible ESLs as soon as you start making decent money.
One of their many benefits is a hybrid automobile reimbursement. (sm)
They offer a financial reimbursement if you purchase a new or used hybrid car.
Cable reimbursement! I completely forgot about that!
My former employer did not pay for that, and I completely forgot that TT pays! I have never submitted a bill for reimbursement. SHEESH! What a space cadet I am!!!!
BUT don't they pay on a 55-ch line to make up for it? nm
xx
Not many & you make a lot more by the line anyway
:)
Do you make more that .15/line?

I worked for a company that sounds similar to your situation.  I worked so many odd hours and sometimes long hours to make 24 hour TAT. Made a whopping 11.00/hour.  In today's economy that's not much.  You don't get paid vacation, benefits, etc.  Hated it - in fact, I hate this profession and glad to be getting out soon.

Just not sure, as I would make less per line
at Transcend, a cent less and a cent and a quarter less for VR.
Oh, sure...my reimbursement check was a figment of my imagination. Get a life. nm.
nm.
You have been there TWO months and make 10c/line????
nm
I could not make line count
in 4 months
I make 0.105 per line, started at 0.08 but got a
few increases over the past few years.
I make .05 - 65 char line now, what should I be getting?
I have been working for almost 2 years.
Transcenders-Per line how much do you make?

Current Transcenders, how much do you make per line and how much experience do you have?

Is 9.5 cpl any good?

I currently make 3.0 cents per line
and I average about 2400 - 3000 lines per day.
I know...I can't even make my line count
each day. I just saw in the newsletter that some people are going over and that is causing this problem...but I think they have hired too many also. Such a shame!
Unfortunately I could not make line count w/o OT
:(
I make 9 cents per line. I am not

on an account with VR.   Regarding the platform, there are several.  Do you have one in particular?

THANKS! Now as soon as I make my line quota
and can afford something other than thrift stores or Walmart I WILL check them out. LOL

Seriously, thanks for the link. I will keep it.
Is it difficult to make line count at
nm
Depends. How many characters make up a line?
.
Are the ESLs really bad and can you make line count?
nm
How can you possibly make any $$ for 2 cents per line???

Am I missing something??

I haven't even tried to make my line count

for MONTHS.  I know the work load has been low and I have some accounts of my own that I can do, so I have done my own accounts and not even touched MDI.  Kinda hoping I won't get yelled at for not meeting my quota but I figure I'll just hang in the background and work when the work is there, and when it is light let the other MTs who don't have anything else to fall back on have it.

Now if my own accounts slow down I will be in trouble...

How can anybody make a decent line count there
I couldn't
The only time I don't make my line count
it is my own fault for wasting time, surfing the net, etc. It's always my fault. Even when we had a dry spell with work trickling in I still hopped on when most people weren't working and I still made my required count for the pay period.
Wow, if you can make that kind of line rate, ...
I am surprised you left at all. Ya'll that make those kind of line rates must have started in a company prior to MQ absorbing them or you live on the West Coast.

I made 2 cents less with over 15 years experience at level 3.

P
I liked hourly until I found out I could make more on line pay. nm

EASY to make line count!
My experience was the opposite. I routinely did 1600-2000 lines a day, WAY over minimum of about 1200 lines a day. I can't make that now in my current job, but at Spheris it was easy. It does depend on the accounts you're assigned, though, so I don't doubt that it COULD be hard to make line count at Spheris. Just depends.
