When I worked there and they first started offering insurance, it was available for employees only. It cost me $485 a month (they don't contribute anything on their side) and it is NOT available in every state. Nebraska, North and South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming and Idaho were excluded. There was a cheaper option for a medical saving account and if you used it and emptied it, you still had to pay the rest of your bills.
I can't answer for the current situation, but I know what I had. I'd ask a lot of questions.
