How do you tell if you have downloaded?

I get my Windows updates automatically and like an idiot I just install what it recommends. Is there a way to check if you have SP3? I have been having trouble lately and I wonder if this is the culprit.

I downloaded PC Shorthand
and I had no problem. It works fine. Just make sure to save your password in case you ever want to reload it.
They downloaded BeyondTxt
for me to use, and it was not compatible with MS word.
I downloaded it on my kid's computer (they
have the old one) before I did mine. I ended up having to uninstall it and also used restore point. It slowed it down to a crawl.

Ever since I downloaded it, my Mozilla Firefox
keeps shutting down for no reason. I would not advise it.
I downloaded two test files from sm
CTS and they were they worst dictator! So fast and I couldn't get the speed right (too fast or too slow). I figured they must have sent the two worst files they had. I asked 2 or 3 questions and each time I would ask a question, the person would tell me they didn't know. Simple questions they should know and if they don't, I sure as heck dont. I decided not to even finish the files and send them back.....the poster about not getting paid was the clincher for me though!
When I tested I downloaded a trial
version of Word 2007. When I worked as Spheris they had a proprietary platform so I didn't need Word. My personal PC had MS Works which didn't work to test with, so I downloaded a trial version of Word 2007 which worked to fill out the applications and to test with. I figured if I was hired for a job that needed Word 2003 or above (as many of do), then I'd buy it. As it turns out, I was hired at another company who also uses their on proprietary software/platform so I don't need Word. I had used an earlier version of Word for jobs I had back between 1998-2000. Hope this helps.

I recently downloaded a trial of spyware and it turns off ITV when IT is trying to access it.
Don't know if that may be your problem or not, but that is the only time I have had it happen. It alwasy links to IE and I haven't figured out how to stop that. Wish I could.
I just found the downloaded voice file and used my Start-Stop
