...that if you're brand new, any MT job is going to feel like a struggle.  Now's the time to make use of the QA folks and ask, ask, ask - for sample reports, tips, feedback, etc.  Take lots and lots of notes.

I'd try to make the best of things where you're at, but also keep an eye out for other jobs with easier accounts, places that say newbies welcome, etc.  Now's the time to pay your dues.  But still - $8.50 an hour seems insultingly low. 

Working in an office with face to face interaction and feedback would probably help get experience/get the hang of it.
