receive checks with stubs in the mail (I mail an invoice), but I do receive direct deposit and I verify that the amount is correct.  In the past, as an employee, I have worked for companies who print this info on their stubs and some who do not.  I think it is nice when they do, but you should be able to verify that the amount of your check is correct based on your line counting program.  Of course, they should match.  If you do not have a line counting program, then, yes, that is a problem.  As far as your hours, those should also be calculated for you if you are clocking in and out.  If not, and you would like to see your hours weekly, then I would suggest a program for your computer that will allow you to clock in and out.  There are several good programs available online that are free.
