I am sorry, but did not misunderstand

and not all posts were against asking for work but some were. If you have asked, offered to cover anything that comes up, and are experienced in what accounts are available and still no answer, then it may be time to move on. I think about 400+ MTs work for MDI, perhaps more. It would be interesting to get a complete accounting on how many are down in work. I apologize if you have all been asking your TL and the owner for work and not getting answers. The silence is very strange, especially when the owner sends out the email she did today. I wonder if she ever reads this board. I think some of her TLs may. If so, this may be important info getting back to her. Let's hope so. Sorry if I offended anyone. I, too, keep hoping for things to pick up. I hate to start over, yet again, with another company who may turn out to be even worse.

Dont misunderstand me...
I still have wicked ESL docs to contend with (maybe even more so than in my primary account with MQ), but man I feel like I can put what I have learned to use to produce better reports, increase production, and maybe just maybe be able to make enough money to pay the light bill.
I fear you misunderstand
I am not sniping at anyone.  Why do you think I still post here if not that I care about what you people, my sisters and brothers, are suffering???  Your post totally offends me.  If you recall, I am being sued because I posted MY experience that I thought might be helpful to those of you trying to make decisions.  My heart aches for all of you who are having trouble making ends meet and I truly wish I could help all of you and I am TRYING as best I know how by bringing certain facts to the attention of appropriate people who MAY be able to make a difference.  The point I was trying to make is that if SOME will settle for 7 cpl today, tomorrow these greedy MTSOs will see no reason to continue to pay 7 CPL because they will be able to get people to work for 6 CPL.  You see where this can go?  Do you really think anyone can support their family on a couple of roupees (or however you spell it) a day?  I think not.  That is the point I intended to make.  At least look at it this way, I'm not out there competing with anyone for work while I'm out galavanting with my husband's retirement in my motorhome.
What people seem to misunderstand is that a recruiter is not the HR department. They are the sm
recruiter. HR director or department head deals with the rules of human resources, benefits, numbers, etc. Recruiter is the KEY person, the one people-oriented individual, the one who talks and gets to know the prospective employee, the one who tests and usually the one who checks the references. That person hires the people. It is the job of the recruiter in any company to hire the individual and THEN to forward paperwork to the department that needs the MT. Now, as a recruiter, I follow through within three (3) days' time to see that all the necessary contact with that individual and department has been made and if it has not been made, I put the crunch to that department head to step on it. We are dealing with people who need a job and have quit their job supposedly to work for us. No one can afford a lapse in employment unless they want a week off in between, which sometimes they do.

Too many people seem to think HR is the recruiter, but in a company with a true chain of command, that usually is not the case.

I don't know how this company operates in that area, but most of the companies I know that are in growth put an HR dept in place, have a director, and 1 or 2 recruiters. The recruiters hire. The individual departments are responsible for getting those people up and running BUT because I know how important it is to get people started and started on time and because sometimes I feel that no one can do the job as well as me (sadly), I have to follow up to make sure those people are not forgotten.

This is worrisome to me that I feel this way, but unfortunately I have come across companies that have let this happen and I do put a fire underneath the departments and it is successful.
dont misunderstand me...we didnt work knowing we wouldnt get paid
How stupid would that be? We were paid a month behind. So when the 18th came we expected our check for the previous month. So that would be one paycheck. No one willingly works for free. I know i certainly wouldnt have typed as much as i did for her - taken time away from everything/everyone else - if i KNEW she wasn't going to pay me. Seriously, I hope she rots for what she has put me and my family through. I'm not talking about a couple hundred bucks. I'm talking thousands of dollars. Yep, I'm ticked
