I have children. A Tuesday through Saturday schedule gives me one full day off when they are home and one full day off (to myself) when they are in school. Also, working a Saturday or Sunday does not mean the entire 24 hours is spent working. I arrange things so that I can attend the activities my kids are involved in and still get in my required time/lines.

I don't feel that I am giving up having a life in any way at all. If you do, perhaps M-F clinic work is what you should be seeking.
