In the 2 weeks that I was applying, I tested almost every day. I applied for maybe 20 jobs and only got 3-4 bites, including my present job. After 2 months, I had 2 companies contact me about my application/resume. Spheris e mailed me and said they wanted to interview me -- in the next several weeks!! Too late by then. So in addition to replying to the posted jobs, try some cold submissions. If you go to the company's web site and they invite you to test - do so. But also apply again when they have a job posting. Not all resumes go to the same person each time. Just get busy on it when your work is slow or on your off time. When something good comes along then let go at the Q.
