recruiters and aren't hiring.   It isn't unusual for a company to get 200+ resumes when they post a job opening.  They have to weed through them, pick which ones they want to interview, then interview and test them and score the testing.   After that they have to offer positions, answer all questions, provide account information and then may also have to get MT setup and trained.  I've never not heard from a company, but then I've been offered with positions with every company I've applied to, but I'm sure there are companies who just don't get back to you for whatever reason.   I've talked with several recruiters, many of whom were MTs.  If they don't have recruiting duties to do what are they going to do - transcribe?  If that is the case then it would decrease the number of MTs they need to hire.
