Are the benefits at Transtech exclusively for FT? or do we PT get some too?

I am acute care with them. I do op notes almost exclusively, except when sm
there are none. This past pay period (15 days), I did just over 15,000 lines. All were op notes except for 4 consults.

I work in Meditech and love it, although this is not the popular opinion. I use an expander, know my doctors, and really find that it is easy to use.

I know there is an ExText account looking for acute care MTs. A friend of mine works on it. She says that there are some very intense operative notes as they do a lot of cardiac cath procedures, but she gets really good lines and likes the platform.

The thing that I like best is that there is a lot of work and I am busy for the full 8 hours that I work. I like to sit down, work for 4 hours, take 1/2 hour break and work another 4 hours. I have to be that disciplined or I would be working day and night to get my lines. I can be the Queen of Procrastination (the nickname my sisters gave me years ago), so having a set schedule works for me. My lead tells me I can have flexible hours, but I can't do that as I will put it off until the end of the end and then be in a panic. The account I am on has enough work on a steady basis to support this; I have tried too many other companies where they promise a lot of work, but it does not happen that way. I have been with KS for 2-1/2 years.

I spoke with recruiter 3-4 wks ago and was told mixed acute care & clinic, no ops exclusively. Low
    s
They want to know about cardiology exp, SM
since that seems to be another speciality of acute care now. Also, oncology, since they are always looking for people who are proficient in that.
    Cardiology

What do you think is the highest paid specialty in transcription?  Cardiology perhaps?

    cardiology

Do you think the cardiology specialty offers more income and job stability than rad, ortho, or other specialties?

Anyone offer just cardiology! The more I do it, the

we need cardiology MTs at my company.

    Cardiology or multispecialty? sm
The pay is very good. The cardiology platform is quite technical (Gemms)and sluggish to type in. They have other accounts where you can work in Word and they pay by the gross line. The work was easy though, including the ESLs. When I was there, the invoicing was monotonous - detailed spread sheets. They do invoicing twice a month, but are slow in mailing paychecks - I got my checks 2 to 3 weeks after turning in an invoice.
Cardiology doesn't pay more, but ...
You don't make a higher line rate - at all - doing cardiology, but I have noticed that cardio (at least studies and consults and whatnot) tends to have more templates/macros, so that's where the good stuff would come in.

I used to work for a company a few years ago - had two cardiologists (who did a lot of studies), a couple of pulmonologists (who stunk, but I didn't have to do them much), and two internal med doctors (who both had 40-line macros that rarely had to be adjusted).

My line count was consistently 550-650 an hour, and I was making 9.5 cpl.

    Man, I miss that account.
    Mid-Atlantic Cardiology?
Do anyone have any informantion on which MTs does Mid-Atlantic Cardiology?  Would be interested in a part-time cardiology position.
Not on cardiology acct, but do work for SGS.
    Can I help?
    cardiology transcription positions
here's the deal guys - we are totally slammed.  however, i don't want to overlook anyone so i am posting this reply to the board in general.  any of you who have cardiology experience and are interested in speaking with me about a position with our company - please send your resume to me directly - tonya@mediscribes.com.  alternatively, if you would rather call, you are welcome to do so within reasonable hours of the day - my number is 210-858-5867.  either myself or our recruiter will be happy to speak with you at your convenience.  hope this will help answer a bunch of questions.
7 cpl for 5 yrs cardiology/10 yrs acute care?
    They gotta be kidding.
I see MD-IT is hiring again for cardiology. I would not recommend to anyone
applying to this company. Their recruiter is very rude and she lies, lies, lies. I found their interview extremely misleading and underhanded.

Not sure if they are hiring, but if you like cardiology, CardioScribes is terrific! sm

WestTran is also a good company for clinic work, although, again, I do not know if they are hiring.   Both companies are IC work.  Good luck in your search!

CardioScribes. They just do cardiology clinics, which is great for me sm

since I was the lead MT for 8-1/2 years for group of cardiologists here locally so I am quite familiar with it all.  And it is a nice break from acute care.  Of course, just because it is the perfect fit for me does not make it right for everyone.  As they always say, one man's Heaven is another man's Hell.

Not just cardiology, other things. You might be talking about a different account
Perhaps it is a different server (there are 2 for regular 1 for rad), and that is why you are not getting the information. Why not just e mail your sup to ask to be trained on something else too. I did and that is the reason why I am working. They need to know if you are willing to learn new account specs, or go to another server, probably. But the new one I am working on I am getting fine reports.
My cardiology account is actually my lowest paying.

On the Job Seeker's board, there is a cardiology account

Anyone working for Superior Global out of TX doing the cardiology studies?

TT new account is cardiology, procedure junk that you cant get lines on.
So, it is working for nothing practically.  Just a new account on board for TT.
Are you on straight typing or VR/typing?
    x
    Keep typing, my a__.
Good company to work for.  Been here 10 years and not birthing out babies.  Thank you very much.
    D&L Typing
Does anyone have any info about D&L Typing?  They have offered me some work, but I have never heard of them before.  TIA
    D&L Typing
I just started with them about a 2 weeks ago.  Yes, they have tons of work--I have turned away several different things from them.  As far as the pay, it depends on what acct you are doing, but it is rather low.
    D&L Typing
I am not sure if they have accts that pay 9 or 10 cpl--that is something you will have to ask them.  As far as the direct deposit, I don't believe they do, their website says that checks get mailed to you twice a month.  Hope this helps :)
Does anyone know anything about D&L Typing?

    :)

    D&L Typing

They do have lots of work, they hire IC's only, and for themost part the people there are great.

They have issues, can't get into it here, but if you want steady work, they do have it.

Just keep your eyes and hears open, as with any company.

Any D&L Typing MTs out there get their
If they send out the checks on Tuesday, shouldn't you get it Wednesday or will it be Thursday?
    d&l typing
I tried archives - but search keeps setting to main board and can't get company board. Anyway - I have had problems and wanted to see if anyone out there has too. - I will keep trying the search
    JUST FOR TYPING WHAT?
    What are you talking about?
    D&L Typing

Web site for them is medicalreport.com.  They hire often, some say they don't pay on time, some say they pay low, some say the staff is bad.  Others say the opposite.  I would say search but with the initials, nothing comes up. I say beware of any potential new client' as an IC.  Hard to tell with this one because no one comments frequently like they do the other companies here - maybe they aren't known like I know them.  I can tell you they like to fish, so you may get other responses here - all part of a fishing expedition. Like many of the other posts regarding them.  They try to catch their ICs talking about them - like they could ever be confirmed.

I have nothing nice to say about them, to any question you may ask. so to be fair, you should wait for other comments for both sides.

    Med Typing
Anybody know anything about Med Typing Service out of New York?  Thanks for any info!
Don't you have typing to do?

You must just be an unemployer loser as someone down below stated .

you know how when you are typing sm
the keys sound different? The only way I know how to describe it is like way back when I was learning to type, you can just hear the difference when you hit a wrong key. Now that is coming from someone who learned to type in the 60s! haha.

I don't know how to explain it. Maybe somebody else can, but when you are typing, don't you kind of hear the flow and know when you have a typo?

    Somebody help me explain!
I saw one ad that was 5 cpl TYPING
    I was completely flabbergasted!

I hope, hope, hope they got ZERO responses, but I have the feeling a SAHM or some other newb applied.

I need to stop coming to this board. It is depressing.
Did you see that they have a typing...sm
speed test on their site? I was tempted to take it but they asked for too much identifying information.
    actually, the typing speed...
is not as important as learning to use an expander to do the work for you.  This is the REAL key.  I type perhaps 300+ words a minute using mine.
And like I said, if you weren't typing SM

the stuff, they'd have nothing to come back to you with.  And how did they get angry with you anyway?  Did you respond to their feedback with negativity and not take responsibility for knowing your account or the basics of transcription?

From knowing many people with your type of attitude over the years, 9 times out of 10 they are people who have the same problems at every job, don't take feedback well, think they are right all of the time and just generally cause problems.  Instead of taking responsibility for your part in doing a job, you lay blame on your supervisors, other employees, etc.

    copy typing
What exactly is copy typing? Just curious. Thanks
