I heard it was to be bought by some company out of the Phillipnes or some such thing.
:)
thank you for answering. I heard thaat this company bought M-Tec, is this try?...nm
nm
not sure who they used to be, but they bought out tmts and all india is correct. nm
;
Keystrokes BOUGHT an office rather than renting, moved
less than 20 miles away, kept the same phone number and sent out the address changes after settled in. What is wrong with that? Do we need to keep everyone in on every detail? If so, I should tell you that we added 14 phone lines to the dictation system.

Management has only added people and changed TWO in FOUR years. What company, in and out of transcription, has the same management team in place forever? People move on to other companies, other careers, take time off, etc.

No wonder the owners tell us all just to ignore the boards; some of the posts are ridiculous.

Just as an aside so you know the proper terminology, a transcriber is a machine; transcriptionists are the humans.
Spheris does what? I've just got done testing for MD-IT. I heard they bought out MediVoxx in Lo
nm
I heard Focus was bought out by Dictaphone (Nuance) less than a year ago. So I think it would be a s
move. Nuance's website looks sturdy, and I know dictaphone is doing well, so how can a company with that kind of backing give you any kind of worry? I'd take it. Good luck whatever you decide.
And their office in India employs over 3000 MTs.

Neither. The owner has homes in KY and IN. The office is in India. nm

They have a "front" office in Mass.. but your supervisors and QA are in India.
Your tech support is also based in India. You communicate with your supervisors via Yahoo IM. They are in India so when you have questions they are the ones answering your questions. Good luck with the communication. Also, remember your paycheck is penalized for errors. This would not be so bad if people sitting in India were not the ones QA-ing your work. That is where the real issue comes in. If I can hardly communicate with them, why would I want them in charge of my paycheck. I mean truly do you want them deciding what is proper English, I think NOT
That is the owner's home. Office is in Ahmedabad, India. It is deceptive sm
to advertise otherwise.  All of the work is sent to and comes from India.
They do not offshore. The owner's original company was bought by MQ; started a new company, whic
That's about all I know. I would give them a try. They sounded good!
I actually heard it was the Phillipines and not India....That came from...
Rick's mouth himself in a conversation with me
Anybody heard of Bureau of Office Services?

Does anyone have any experience with this company?  They are in Illinois.

TIA

You know that bought your company so
1 of our fearless leaders did not have to leave TN. True.
This office may be soon joining Amherst and Foxboro so not sure about that. I have not heard much
good on here about it.
If MQ bought the company I work for........
I would quit anyway.
SPI is the company who bought CyMed
Philippines/India/US co. from what I understand
Focus offshores 80% of their work to India. And I heard they are headed

What company just bought out Focus? I can't find it now. Thx. nm

When Transcend bought the company I worked for we were told they did not do IC, just PT/FT... sm
so this is news to me!  Maybe they allow different things for different companies they buy.  I also understood a little while after the merger that all accounts would move over to their platforms, but now I am reading that maybe not all of them did with other mergers.  I am sorry you all are going through this!  I remember how it was thrown on us so quickly too.
Focus bought by Nuance/Dictaphone, DRC bought by Acusis. nm

Got a news alert today that Spheris bought Vianeta company. nm
nm
company going to service company or India?
That is a hard thing to be cut back after you are used to that position.  We have a couple of hospitals near here who have turned over all of their work to a Service Company, and one eliminated their department and turned over to India.  I am afraid that the service company may be taking over our work also.  Understand the others kept same pay, but lost most benefits.  Anyone else have this happen to them?
MQ Houston office closing? I was thinking about applying but I just heard that they are closing
the Houston office soon.  What's going on with them?
At my company, QA is already in India. nm
dddd
Maybe we should tell that India-guy on the Company
he's about ready to bail on his current job, and certainly he wouldn't mind working for peanuts, since he surely already does!
;D
Any company that gets in bed with India should be
*
Good company, NOT in India ..

They do outsource, and the company is NOT in India. The pay was always on time, as well.

Company basically run out of India.

Philippine company with an office in Nashville
xx
Yes that is the company MQ uses to send work to India.
:
cbay is spheris' India company...
claim they have over 4000 employees, but the MTs are in India...

that was reported in the advance health magazine.
No, Acusis is the company that started in India, and
nm
It is an Indian run company with a store front office in the US. If you are
working without a contract you're asking for trouble.  They have no obligation to pay you if there is no contract.
US based company? Focus MTs US=925, India=3800.

Anirudh Baheti (an Indian) started the company and sold it to Nuance for 58 million dollars last year.

Just an FYI, Mr. Baheti also owns a company called Focus Care which is a service that recruitis Indian nurses, trains them to pass the US nursing boards, and then places them in US hospitals to work for a much lower wage than an American nurse earns.

Mr. Baheti also owns/owned a company called Focus Enterprises which deals in industrial tubes and pipes.

Tell me again how this is US based company?

And you're okay with working for a company that sends most of its work to India and

whose workforce is predominantly Indian?  You're okay with the loss of American jobs, the falling recession we are in and the falling economy due in big part to the offshoring of American jobs?  How okay will you be when you lose your job to an Indian and you have to apply for food stamps and unemployment?

Sell-out MTs like you are the reason good MTs cannot make a decent wage anymore, why good MTs cannot find a good job anymore, and why sweats shops in third world countries are thriving.  How do you look at yourself in the mirror?

Focus Infomatics employs 800 American MTs and over 3000 Indian MTs.  Tech support is in India.  The company itself is still run by the same Indian man who started the company and sold out to Nuance.  He made a bundle when he sold and he is still making a bundle running the company while he pays his own countrymen and woman peanuts!  He's selling out his own people and you are selling out yours!  On second thought, I guess you belong at Focus with your own kind!

Focus doesn't offshore to India, they are an Indian company
that offshores to the U.S.  They have an office front in MA, I think.
The main office was in Bolingbrook but they built an office in Yorkville last fall. SM
I think that the owners live in Yorkville, so it was built close to their house. Nice office, just pretty far out.
Has anyone heard of this company?

MedEDocs?   Or Bob's PC Werks?

Thanks,

Cheryl

What do they pay? Not sure if same company I have heard of. nm
:}
Has anyone ever heard of this company?
I am wondering if anyone has ever heard of LARTECH Healthprime from Texas?  Good company or bad company?
WPU? anyone heard anything about this company? nm
nm
have not heard anything about this company, but.....
you are lucky to have a company offer to mentor you. Take this opportunity and run with it. Learn all you can, and try to stay with them for one year. After that, you can apply elsewhere.

Good luck!!

p.s. helpful hint is to by a cheap telephone book, A-Z type, and write all the new words and terms you hear in that book. This trick worked wonders for me 17 years ago.
Has anyone heard of a company SM

having an attitude modification course?  A co-worker of mine stated her supervisor did not like her attitude and assigned her to attitude modification, where she was mentored by someone for six months on changing her attitude. No, this wasn't me! LOL!

I never heard of such a thing.  I was really shocked, but didn't want to press the issue with said co-worker since she might yell at me.

Has anyone ever heard of this?  I would think it would just exist in the military or police department.

Never heard of your company. (sm)
Sorry to say, but I've been coming to this board for a long time and I've never heard a word about your company. That's either very good, or very bad. Why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Has anyone ever heard of this company?
I just got a pretty generic looking e-mail from a Ctu, Inc.  Has anyone ever heard of this company?  They were looking for IC's, but you could only have "high speed, but not DSL" which I thought was the same....but anyway....anyone heard of these people?
Have you heard of this company?
Has anyone had any experience with CMC Medical Transcription, Seattle, Washington?
I've heard that about this company.....sm
it's too bad that they require new hires to work one weekend day, otherwise I'd be applying with them.
Here's a company I've never heard of ...

This is a company that seems to be hiring.  I believe they are in Virginia.  I know nothing; just stumbled across their website and thought they looked interesting.

INSCRIBE?? Anyone ever heard of this company? s/m
I was offered a job, but don't have the details yet.  I have never heard of this company and would appreciate ANY information anyone can give me.  TIA!
Any company can set up any rules they want to. I have heard of a few
companies that dock you for errors. 3.5 to 4 cpl is about standard for VR from what I have seen.
