I must be too old

All this whining about the possibility of having to work like the other professionals have to!! Stop your whining. If you want MT to be recognized as a profession then it needs to finally start ACTING like one.

Having a job means having to work hours, miss ballgames, meet employer expectations, etc.

Get over your whining selves for five seconds and realize that if you have the skills to do MT and want to be a PROFESSIONAL, then you will need to start ACTING like professionals.

The world is a place of evolution. Your PROFESSION is FINALLY evolving. You always have the option of changing careers. I hear Walmart, however, expects you to show up on time, stay and do the hours you're scheduled, work Christmas if you're scheduled, and carry out your duties. Can you imagine the nerve?
