I would never, ever go back to billing.  Coding, maybe.  Coding AND billing, nope.


Because after you fight for months over each and every puking claim and the insurance company still won't pay and the patient gets billed - guess what - the patient calls and accuses you of being lazy and incompentent because YOU didn't do YOUR job and get their bill magically paid for them!  They, of course would rather DIE than call their own insurance company.  They'll just flat refuse to pay at all, and go to collections before they'll speak to their own insurer or read their own policy.


Geez, even phone solicitors have an easier job and get called less names than a biller.
