time that the field is going kerplunk big time. We used to make really good salaries, lot of older people on here had not only per hour base but incentive on top of that. Many more are trying to get out rather than getting in and if you read these posts enough you will find out from much more experienced persons than a 3 yearer has this is not a profession to make a decent living at now. Most cannot live on the amount being paid out. You will find more than not peoplel are working at less than the quoted above, 9 or 10 cents. Those are few and far between and people with really good sense going back to school, finding a job where they can make a living. You came in on the tail end of transcribing with work going to other countries and EMRs and so forth.
