I didn't notice any decline in my editing lines.  I like that the header is always visible and there is no switching screens in the header.  I would ask your team lead if anything else has changed that would change your lines. 

I use Instant Text for typing but not editing.  Yes, you do both in ES, typing and editing.  IT is just not needed in the editing but I guess you could use it if there were a lot of edits in a particular note. 

I started on Editscript after about 11 years of typing and welcomed the change.  My shoulders get a break and I feel better doing it.
