IC

Unless things have changed, one of the advantages to being an IC is the flexibility. By law, an IC should be able to name their schedule. You do need to make a commitment for what works for you so the service know what they can count on for coverage, turn around time, etc. You really should not have any problem with the schedule you are talking about, just need to find the right fit. Good luck. Also, if you don't mind some unasked for advice, there is no reason at all to work for a company that is not professional enough to make sure their checks are out on time. If your pay is unreliable, cut your losses and move on.
