    I paid a little over $900 a month for just my hubby & I in 2006 when I finally quit. It was WORTHLESS. We had one major surg during the 6 yr I worked for them & had the policies they went thru & my AFLAC per dium paid better than the medical did!!!!!! It was for a rotator cuff repair on hubby. And they tend to find policies that work best in areas where they have more MT's - NV, FL, etc. & in Wyo (Transform's home state) there would be no participating providers!! Example - the surgery center here in Cody would accept it but not a SINGLE surgeon. What good is that???? It cost hubby over $10,000 out of pocket. And when I quit in early 2006 the policy for a couple years had a $500 deductible for EACH inpatient stay - not an annual deductible. NOT worth the $$$. I now pay $150 a month for hubby's with another company (not MT anymore), nothing for my own, and have 5x the coverage. Just had a procedure myself & so far it has cost me $25. Am waiting to find out what the surg ctr will cost me but they estimate $70. Beats the rotator cuff experience!!!
    Determination is worthless if noboby will let her test though.
    I used to let grads from PCDI test for me, but not one of them passed. It’s a drain on my resources, both time and financial, so I won't even consider a PCDI grad anymore unless s/he’s had a lot of verifiable experience.
    I am quite surprised to see an MTSO state that determination is worthless.

    I have found that the 2 weeks during someone's notice are worthless for the most part. sm
    It is as if they think, hey, I'm out of here in two weeks, what can she do? This happens more times than not.

    Again, two sides to everything. We (MTSOs) are not out to get MTs. We need you as much as you need us. We need to be able to work together. I am fortunate in that I have a great group of employees but I am a small MTSO (25 MTs) and have very little turnover.

    It has been difficult for everyone with the industry taking on so many different factors. We are not the enemy.
    I had the same pathetic OSI experience
    They aren't required to pay out PTO and I never got mine either, bummer.

    I know what you're alluding to, even though you are too much of a coward to say it outright.  If you can't say anything nice, or heaven forbid be supportive of this individual, then just keep it to yourself.

    That is PATHETIC! Co is offering an IC position
    at 5 cpl (yes, 5 cpl for an IC!!!!) with a POSSIBLE raise to 6 cpl in 90 days. That's the worst I've seen yet. I sincerely hope noone stoops as low as to accept that kind of pay.
    Oh that's pathetic...trying to hide their names because they don't pay them MTs. These
    companies need to have their names out there. I don't care what their excuse is...if a MT works for you, no matter how long or circumstances, pay them!!! They need to be turned in. I find it disgusting to NOT pay your employees and keep trying to recruit more suckers. Shame on them.

    Well what I did was get a second PT job and when the first one runs out of work go into the second job.  I dont sit and wait anymore and I dont help out when other MTs decide to not work.  We are all IC.  That is what I did and it seems to work because they get the idea finally that you are going to continue to do this and they just more or less tolerate it and keep right on hiring.  It really doesnt matter to them so it works fine for me.

    Yikes..5 cpl and they filled the positions..pathetic..okay all you out there that stooped so low to
    accept that rate, please raise your hand LOL.. That is SHOCKING..who could live on 5 cpl. I think I'd be insulted and humilated and DESPERATE to accept that rate.  I'm pretty sure they are getting more than 5 cpl from their clients. You can bet they are making more than enough by having the slaves work for free practically.

    I was curious. At 7 cpl, they better lower their standards for experience, like someone right out of school who just needs the experience because they certainly couldn't survive on that for a living.
    Some of the VR editing work you have to retype the whole report and then you get pathetic job offers
    I had some offers for editing VR as low as 1.5-3.0 cpl and I just want to say to them ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! That is not realistic. I am really afraid to see where this profession is going. Slave wages.

    I will add that getting a great pay check every other Friday from Medware really puts a huge smile on my face.
