I don't work there so I don't know what's going on. I just remembered the post 4 down from yours inquiring about an apparent nosedive in workload.

I work on the Chartmatrix side. Has anyone else experienced a sharp decline in work? My primary account is practically nonexistent, so I am pretty much completely dependent on my backup accounts, which are awful. Not what I signed up for. Something is going on, but I can't get answers.


I have seen posts about J & J. Any updates on that?

Good bad any help you can give.  Co I just switched to is getting crappy fast.  Tired of playing games...Any info appreciated like platform, phone or internet, you know the standard stuff

keep my line count around 225-250 per pay period, with the bonus they pay that equals about $19 - $20/hr.  I previously worked for a much larger company typing acute care work and never made that much.  They are nice people and are bringing on more work.  Maybe typing ER work is not for everybody but I have bills to pay and enjoy the steady pay.

or know anything about them?  I don't care about insurance as I already have that.  I'm mostly interested in how much they pay and if they have enough work.  I've been an MT for over 11 years and do not want to waste the time taking the test to find out they only pay 6 or 7 cpl.   


Any other info about platform, QA, etc. would be much appreciated.  Basically anything anyone knows and would be willing to share other than insurance info would be great.

I started at MedScribe 3 months ago and things have been going along quite well.  The people seem to care and I like my account, this is such a change from the rather large company I left to work for MedScribe.  I just signed up for the healthcare benefits, all of the paperwork arrived as promised and on time.  I hope that helps.

I would normally give you a thumbs-up for this company, as I have always liked working for them, but I've been having a real problem with a lack of work lately. I'm not going to speculate on the reason because I really have no clue. That's about all I can say for now, as if there is a lack of work, the other info is moot, IMO.
Does ne1 work for medscribe and do you like them?

MedScribe is running out of work!

Please do not be fooled by MedScribe asking for acute-care MTs.  I have worked for them for 2 years and it has been a rollercoaster ride.  Either too much work or not enough and lately it has just been not enough work.  I don't believe any MTs would want to make 1200.00 a month when I have the ability to transcribe 250 lines/hour.

Because you make no sense and you aren't being helpful. The company gives bad accounts so it's hard to make quota and then calls and berates the typists. How is that the typists' fault? duhhhh DUHHH... the typist is leaving and just passing on the info

Can you send in QA?  Is their pay reasonable?  Are they flexible?  Alot of downtime?  Reimbursement for internet?  Special equipment?

After reading all the posts about MQ and no work,
nationals.   Almost every single large national that I know of has benefits tied to production and a clause in their contract that they cannot be held accountable if there is no work.  Doesn't it make it convenient for them not to have to pay insurance benefits if THEY overhire and there is consistently not enough work to go around? This is the same thing that happened at Transcend.  After all, how much does it really cost the company to overhire when all they have to do is supply the computers, which are a business expense write-off anyway?

I have. The company I work for now posts when
they have openings, but I was hired before they started posting.  I'm going on 6 years now with this company.   I have also received 2 other offers from smaller companies that don't post. 
TransTech still very low on work? No posts lately.

Don't know if the grass is going to be any greener over there if there is no work, as previous posts suggest.  Can anyone provide an update on that situation?  Sounded pretty dire.

seems lately this has been happening a lot - and I thought they did not do that at KS - any input from MT.
After seeing all of the no work posts here, I'd think they probably got a lot of angry sm
emails, calls, etc.  I used to work for them and thought they were a great company, but even a couple of years ago, the work would dry up and you had to work a 24-hour day practically to get all of your lines in.  I still have an email from D that told me to work extra but not write it down on my time sheet.  I'm tempted sometimes to show it to the labor board and see what they have to say about it.  Probably not worth my time and effort … just a funny thought sometimes.  I have moved on and the more I read lately with the VR and all that, it seems that was a good thing.  For those still there, I hope things turn around.  Good luck.

Is this still the case? These posts are mostly from 2005 and 2006, so they are really old. Are the flexible with scheduling? Do they pay on time and treat their MTs well? I just want to know before I even think about applying! Thanks!

All of that aside, when it comes down to doing the real work, many old and new MTs at MQ experience multiple accounts with multiple client profiles to read which cuts down on productivity. Even if you get 15 cents a line it doesn't matter if you have to waste time reading CPs and never becoming familiar with one account. JMO also.

I didn't take the posts as trashing the company, just people venting about no work. sm
I used to work for TT, and yes, they are wonderful people -- very caring and supportive -- but in order to get my lines in, I had to be VERY flexible, working on my days off, during times I wasn't scheduled, etc., and it gets old pretty quickly.  I personally didn't care for the e-mails calling me sweetie or telling me you rock, but that's just me.  I just want to be paid well and have plentiful work.  I do not know if they just overhire or what happens, but I finally left because I couldn't stand the feast or famine work flow there.
Good & bad posts in the past. Must work 1 Sat. a month. Supposed to be gross line pay. Some days

BEware of Medscribe......... Listen to this.......I've had Susan interviewing and calling me for three months on an Editor position at $17/hr.  Well, after being told I did NOT get the job (even tho I was never tested), she had the nerve to call me back a week later and said the job reopened and she wanted me for it. I tried calling her and leaving messages for three days.  She never returned my calls.  I finally got ahold of her and she had the NERVE to tell me that the original person changed their mind and took back the position?  Did anyone ever hear of this?  So to all of you out there.......stay clear of Susan!!!!

SM, Yes it is all about me....it is about how all of us as potential hires should be treated. Besides, Ms. L did not even test for the QA position.....so the question is, was there really a position????

No, I'm sure she thinks ONLY about what is good for her not caring about how she plays around with other people. Sorry, but I don't have to take this kind of treatment and let her know it.

They're not the only one I've been working with one here in Canada and the same thing. I thought maybe it was me that was wrong but that's what they did too..mind you we got $1.50 to put up with it and work ha work we did or at least me!!!!

What's the story with these people? I tested before Christmas and never heard back (I know I did well).  Today they didn't answer an Email.  Should I keep on truckin'?

Things can change a lot in FOUR YEARS. I cannot imagine they would have been able to keep up that practice and still be around today. Maybe a person should simply ask them about the incident four years ago; you'd have nothing to lose and as an applicant, I would think they would HAVE to tell the truth about it. The problem is sometimes just ONE incident can get out of hand, repeated a little differently, and a different story could come out other than the real story. I'm not saying your friend didn't get paid. I'm just saying NO company could get away with this kind of protocol and still be in business.

I don't know why, but whenever I post about this company it is not able to be found in the archives. I have posted many times about how miserable I was while working there. I didn't trust their line counter but I think worst of all was the way the talked down to me and scolded me for not making line counts which by the way... i normally could do but their accounts are MOSTLY re recorded and very VERY bad ESLs.... on top of a faulty line counter.
