About 3-4 months ago, my work just dribbled down to nothing. I have been on four hospitals at MDI for three years and the work was always plentiful, anytime, day or night. These were large teaching hospitals with tons of dictators. And suddenly it all dries up on FOUR major hospitals? A friend of mine, also an MDIer, had the same thing happen. All of her work dried up and she almost lost her house to foreclosure. No one could ever explain to either of us (1) where the work had gone so suddenly and (2) when things would straighten out. They kept telling me that they were getting tons of new accounts in September and my liaison said Just hang in there. Well, maybe they did get some new accounts, but with this new deal with Transcend, most of us are, well, you know......
