Misleading ad

I worked for them for a couple of weeks not long ago (left because of the disorganization), and people should probably know that they do not as far as I was informed offer production bonuses, as the ad states. And I did not have assigned providers, I had a very large clinic 30-40+ doctors that was assigned to me, so I did lots of different doctors each day and did not ever have dedicated ones. It seemed just like when I work acute care and pull from a huge pool of doctors dictating discharges or H&Ps. Except I did not get to pull - work was assigned to me after having to ask the allocators for it.

I am not misleading anyone
Lay off means lack of work - you don't have to just let someone go because there is no work.  Maybe they did not work out.  We had a very successful (large) construction company, and this is what we were told by our attorneys who specialize in labor laws.  We never laid off anyone, so maybe there is a law if you have over a certain amount of employees, which in our case was 60 - a layoff would be different.  Being fired is different than being laid off.  It is an at will state.  I am not misleading anybody.  Look up what laid off means.  What all MTs need to know if you get laid off. apply for unemployment for crying out loud.  If there is very little work apply for unemployment.  You have a right to no matter what.  Also as far as indepedent contractor - that is walking a very thin line by an employer.
Yikes, someone is definitely misleading others. I
that Transcend is still offering 3 cpl incentive to work holidays.
no.. it is misleading and tacky
of her to do that.
Vonage was misleading
First let me say I LOVE MY JOB!!!!!! I was one of those who used my LOCAL company, then they found out I was abusing the plan. I switched to Vonage. I was upfront with them that I used the line for DATA. They STILL signed me up for the residential plan ($24.95/month). Then, same thing, about a month into that, I received call from Vonage saying I was abusing the plan and I must be switched to Business Plan (I think it's $49.99/month). I STILL LOVE MY JOB but this disconnection is a ROYAL PAIN. I guess if there is no way around it, I'll just grin and bear it. I have worked for MANY other companies and have NEVER been as satisfied as I am with Keystrokes! So, I guess the inconvenience will STILL be worth it in the long run..........
This is misleading. They have all ICs, so it cannot be said that they treat their employees well.
I had a rude awakening about being an IC and will never go that route again!
IMO this is kind of fraud, misleading at least.
But often one can see right through it. MTs are very vulnerable, especially now.
If there are in a thread a lot of negative posts and all of a sudden there jumps somebody in with a 100% positive, praising comment, then this is usually an obvious lie.
That's a bit misleading. It is NOT just the IT department. The techs sm

who allocate the dictation files to you nothing to do with IT.  If you have a computer issue, they will get someone from IT for you, but Marie and the rest are not part of that department.  The ENTIRE COMPANY is based in India.  Yes, they hire American MTs, but the company is in India, and they at one point even lied to the MTs and said work was slow due to Christmas (this was in the middle/latter part of January), then one of the techs admitted they had outsourced to an Indian MT company.

They are not the worst company to work for -- the pay is decent and on time -- although I never cared for the way the work was allocated and I absolutely DESPISE the fact that they are now lying and misrepresenting themselves in their ads saying they are based in Kentucky.  There is a residential HOUSE in Kentucky owned by the Indian owner.  Why not just be upfront about it in their ads?

Well I think that is very misleading especially recently if those MTs needed SE status in their
particular situation. I would have been extremely upset to have been mislead into thinking I was going to be an SE to find out a month later I was going to be an employee. Sorry I dont agree with you. I think that is BS on MQ part. Covering their very broad asses as usual and screwing everyone else. That is what MQ is all about. I hope people dont think this new employee plan wont have a ton of problems from the getgo. Just wait.
The recruiter I spoke to was VERY misleading about holiday pay.
I never would have known (until it was too late!) about their holiday policy unless I had read it here.... I've tossed my notes from the interview but as I recall she said something about as long as you work your next scheduled day before and after you get time+1/2 on holidays.  Could be wrong but anyway it left me with an impression apparently pretty different from the truth.  I'm so glad I said, I'll think about it!
