There is nothing wrong with posting a link to D&L.

We don't promote other competitive websites, such as other job websites for this field, etc.

I must be misunderstanding this.

If you're talking about buying a Stenotype machine (usually used in court reporting) and learning it, you not only basically have to learn a new *language* but it's more like playing chords on a piano than typing, so the whole concept is different.  It's not easy.  If you're going to be working while you're learning, how quickly do you think you can learn this?  Prepare to have a LOT of time taken away from your family while you're learning. Do you already have the software that will *translate* the Stenotype ShortHand into English?  I don't think these programs are very cheap.

The one good thing that could come out of it is if you learn to read notes, you might be able to get a job editing for a court reporter.

But if you're going to use it for medical transcription, it sounds like a huge waste of time and money.  Might be better off to fine tune your word-expander program.

If I've misunderstood what you're talking about, I apologize.

Oh okay...sorry for the misunderstanding...
I just had to clear up the fact about Keystrokes...but they can't punish the MT if there is no work to be done...you just have to sit around and wait for work...that was the part I hated...
not its not a misunderstanding. It sm
was a different account and was not on Bayscribe. It was on Chartnet I think. The FOB was from the hospital itself. It has a security code that changes every 30 seconds and you have to have that number to sign into the account.

I get so tired of the whole I never had to do it, so you must be mistaken routine. I know what I did, the account and the way it worked. Not everyone does the same accounts at Landmark and not everyone has the same platform. Glad they leave you alone. Wish they had been so wonderful. Actually I thought they would be. The owners don't know what they are doing and when they ran into a problem they pushed it off on the hospital to fix and they were in no hurry (even though the account was backed up 4 weeks).

So this was not a misunderstanding it was a disaster! Not every company is a good fit for everybody and this was my experience. Matter of fact they tried two accounts and two different platforms (neither of which was Bayscribe) and they couldn't get it fixed and admitte it was on their end and not mine. The lead MT even said I had more patience than she would have had.

Don't accuse someone of not knowing what they are talking about, you are not in the same situation. Good grief. I just posted a comment etc. etc and didn't know it was going to get this my crap.
What kind of misunderstanding was it?

How were they willing to rectify the situation?  Was the misunderstanding on your part or theirs?

There must have been some misunderstanding. I find this hard to believe.

Agreed, didn't mean for misunderstanding.
Sorry if it came out wrong. I meant that the MTSO should follow through, not QA. Why even have QA if you aren't going to listen to their recommendations on their MTs' value (or lack thereof)? I know it's frustrating, BTDT, so I didn't mean to imply it's a QA problem in any way.
