I don't know any MT that hasn't had at least one bad experience with QA. Mine was as a newbie, so I thought all the corrections being made were to help me understand the work and understand the account. Along came another QA person (for the same account, mind you) that changed everything yet again. Then there was another QA person who changed everything back to the way I did it in the first place and this was all within about a weeks' time. Already at a disadvantage being a newbie, now I was completely confused. I sent an email to the owner of the company (it was a small, family-owned business) explaining to her my situation and sending along all my corrected work and begging her to help me figure out what I was supposed to do. Because of this, I got the help I needed and the first two QA people lost thier jobs. My advice is to get with someone higher up than QA (if you can) and ask for help; ask them to explain the specifics of the account for you and then explain what has been happening with your work and that you need to know what to do. QA is not the final word and should not be treated as such (and I feel I can say that because I do QA now and there are still some things I don't get). If you get no response or still feel like you're getting conflicting info from QA after that, I'd say it was time to move on. You don't need that stress - this job can be stressful enough without QA dumping on you every day. Good luck and I hope it works out for you! =)
