Of course TransTech pays for spaces and they have a easy to get bonus structure.

I make as much as I did at the hospital, because of the bonus structure, retroactive to line 1. They pay for spaces and expanders, and they have ops normals too. Just wanted to put an FYI so people think TT does not pay for spaces, of course they do. You can make a lot per line with the structure and also differential and bonuses almost every weekend at TT.

Anyone know if Transtech pays for spaces?
Thanks in advance!
I think most places pay for spaces. I work for TransTech and they pay for both spaces
as well as punctuation. I would never work for an MTSO that doesn't.
QED pays for spaces
I work there (both as recruiter and MT). Most accounts are 65 cpl and on all accounts MTs are paid for spaces.
There is a time clock, but LPH is easy to achieve and bonus is not done by that any longer. SM
Much better than E-time, if that's what the Evil Q still uses. No worries.
Can anyone tell me if Amphion pays for spaces
and headers and footers?  Is their software productive and what kind of Expander do they use?  Thanks.  Considering a move there.
Two platforms; one pays spaces other does not (sm)

Was told both platforms average out about the same per line; platform without spaces pays a higher rate than the one with spaces.  After privately emailing prior and current employees, I was told both platforms hard to make line count.  One MT after being there for a year quit do to line counts not adding up fast enough.  They do pay for headers and footers although it did not impact the line rate as much as they claim (up to 11 lines a report).  Top pay on both platforms average out top pay at around 8 to 8.5 cents.  Benefit package okay but nothing to brag about as far as medical insurance cost.  Flexibility so-so.

believe it or not, Diskriter pays for returns and spaces - sm
but I am not sure about headers and footers. I don't think so, but I can't remember. and they have very few ESL - at least on two accounts they did.
TransHealth pays for spaces & headers on a 65 character line. sm
I recommend them highly.  Stable company, good platform, great benefits.  I'm happy there.
Update: Phoenix MedCom has two platforms; one pays spaces; one does not.
I noticed a post from last week that stated the old policy. The clients on the older platform stayed there, so the pay is 9 or 10 cpl without spaces, but headers and footers. The new platform is 8 cpl with spaces. Our MTs who transcribe on both platforms say their pay is the same day in and day out...Try us out...we aren't running out of work daily! Thanks
Transtech has bonus for 2 and 3 shifts.
And you can do split shifts, etc. They are very flexible. If you look at the job board, the hiring bonus is pretty substantial for those shifts. I think you would be okay inquiring and letting TT know the above. Good luck.
Anyone know what TransTech pays?
I saw their ad, but they don't having anything about starting cpl rate.  I have been a MT for 10+ years and don't want to waste my time testing with this company if they don't pay well.  Thanks!
Got a card and $50 bonus from Transtech last year.

It's TransHealth that pays that way, NOT TransTech.

TransTech pays every two weeks.

Transtech pays as much as Transcend
.
TransTech pays 4 and 4.5 for VR... She said she just left

a place that paid that....   Could it be one in the same?

Probably would be better for her to just straight type.  That is what I have to do also.  HATE VR....

That is good $$ but Transtech pays a lot

TransTech Pays for Internet does Transcend?
I just read that they reimburse for internet, does Transcend do this too?
Does anyone know what Transtech pays for its Escription accounts?
I'd be willing to work weekends if the price was right.  I've just seen too many Escription accounts pay too low, which to me, is 3 cpl and lower..One company actually offered 1.5 cpl. No thanks.
TransTech pays flat fee for training (NM)

Work is easy, very nice owner, pays weekly, work in Word.

Transtech pays for all the headings in the report template, such as those in your example, and they
all the demographic stuff that is inserted into the header and/or footer of your report. A heading and not the same thing as a header. The only thing on a report that you are not paid for is the hard-coded header and/or footer at the top and bottom of the document that has the facility name and the spot for the patient information to be inserted.

Transtech does pay for spaces

your time is coming . . . easy does it when first hired on with TransTech, of course.

Do you think they are going to discourage you on the very first day of hire.  NOT.

Obviously, you are one who is getting cherry-picked reports, but your time will come for the difficult dictators just as we all get.

So glad you enjoyed your first day.

TransTech pays early too, Payday is Monday but I get my direct deposit
late Friday night or Saturday.
TransTech uses ExText so you can look up MD examples. They pay for spaces, too. Don't know how mu

If emails saying, "You guys make Transtech rock" pays your bills, let me know, because

I have figured out a way to pay my bills with such **old, wornout** words.

Management is rocking alright, because their paychecks are not affected at all with the NO WORK/LOW WORK situation that has been going on now for MONTHS and MONTHS.  That seems so unfair when without the MT's, the mgmt would have no paychecks!!!!!

My SE pay structure currently
I work for the Baltimore office of MQ. I am an SE with MQ since 1998. When moving to DQS, I received info on the "DEP Pay Structure"

The required minimum through the Baltimore office as of today is 4,000 lines per pay period. Never heard the 6,000 number, maybe that is different office (which seems crazy, but nothing surprises me!).

There is a shift differential for MTs who consistently maintain production in excess of the MQ required minimum (4,000 lines per pay period) and who transcribe the majority (i.e., 50% or more) of their total production during the weekday hours. I won't go into these details, but all of this info I am paraphrasing directly from an email from my supervisor regarding the DEP Pay Structure - again, for the Baltimore office.

There are also small differentials for holidays and weekends, but there is a minimum required for that also.

Then, for this office at least, there are incentive tiers. to qualify at all, MT must transcribe at least 14,000 lines in a pay period.
The tier offers an extra 0.0005, 0.010, and 0.015 for each level of the tier, with (for example) the 0.015 being for 23,001 lines or more per pay period.

Don't know if this info has already appeared, so sorry if it is repeat. It may conflict with other offices, dunno, but this is how I am paid as an SE at this point.

New pay structure (sm)
It only involves the editing/reviewing staff on the Merit side.  Yes, it is bad! $8 an hour with incentive of less than 2 cents per line. Like I said earlier, the US employees are getting the same pay as the India staff. Our hourly rate was nearly cut in half.
No structure/system at MDI-MD...sm
I feel like they have too many MTs typing amuck anywhere and everywhere whenever they want 24/7 causing everyone to have to work 24 hours a day to get their lines in.  I have been chained to this computer for over 5 months now.
sentence structure? perhaps

New MedWare pay structure for editors

MedWare changed the pay structure for editors about a month ago. We knew the new structure with the per hourly rate (single digit) plus incentive (under 2 cents per line) was insulting low. Then a message went out this morning from the Director of Transcription with the Editor payroll summation attached, and we find out that they changed our pay to exactly what they are paying the offshore editors.

I am sure this is great pay for the offshore editors, but really leaves a bad taste in my mouth knowing that I am paid the same wage when I have to review their work 100%.  Of course, they are probably making more with the incentive then I am because I have to take the time to clean up their shabby work and make the chart ready for the client.

Christmas Bonus survey...Has anyone received a bonus yet this year or expect one?
We usually get one but haven't see it yet. Just curious if anyone has been so lucky as to get one.
I agree. You still have to know punctuation, proper English, tenses, sentence structure, etc. Show

Anyone know of a company, easy clinic work, easy Word format, dependable pay? Help!
x
I love it. It is fast, easy to learn and easy to use.

Platform very easy and quick - easy to get used to. :)
.
Also, it is not only about a birthday bonus, any bonus...sm
I am curious to see the average amount of different bonuses out there.  Like anniversary, birthday, holiday, etc. bonuses.  Remember back when you were an employee and had to go out to work for a company, during your birthday, anniversaries, certain special times of the year everyone would send around a card, sign it, cook a meal or something nice for you...I am just wondering if any company does that for you even though you don't actually have to dress and go to work physically.  A simple poll...NOT something I will base on becoming an employee with...A SIMPLE POLL!  Thanks for everyone who gave some input about their actual company and not a criticism...Just a simple question ....
No bonus here - I make my own bonus sm
by working more and having a big fat paycheck!

I have learned, in life, not to expect so as to not be let down or disappointed. I apply that reasoning to all aspects of life, including my career.

Although I agree that sometimes it is nice to have others think of you with a gift or bonus, in reality, it is not the norm working as an IC.

Christmas has become so materialized and commercialized, it really is sad for those who don't have as much as others to feel such a financial stress and burden to buy or give gifts.

So, I say make your own bonus and work a little more, get some extra lines in, and that would be your bonus!

Happy Holidays to All!

65 with spaces versus 65 without spaces; how to calculate?

Can someone tell me if you are getting 9 cents per 65-character line with spaces how much you would need to be paid per line to make the same amount per line if you are offered a ''65-character line without spaces?''  Thank you very much

So, if not spaces paid, what cpl would be comparable to at least 9 cpl w/spaces, do you know??
Thanks.
All compaines count lines different--with spaces, without spaces, headers or no headers, 65 characte
a line, 75 characters, etc. I would ask each of them how they count their lines. Sometimes the way lines are counted does not make a company worth working for.
54 without spaces = 65 with spaces if you do the math nm

Where is my bonus!
I have been at OSi a long time and don't know what my audit scores are. I never got a bonus but you see the same names in the newsletter every single time with the bonus. I think they are just paid it as part of the inner circle and probably never got an audit either. If I did mess up I wouldn't know it because nobody ever tells me anything about an audit. What gives????
Where is my bonus!
Well isn't that interesting that 2 people on here know nothing of audits? Why is that? Why isn't everyone getting audits monthly and randomly? Something is stinky here.
SE's bonus with MQ
Are you working for the St Louis office? This is where I was hired, but have not sent in my paperwork yet. Do you have a lot of ESL? They don't bother me too much, but they can slow you down. How are you liking working for Medquist so far....after reading some of the posts on here I am very nervous, but I think I will give them a chance to see for myself.
