It's really not as bad as all that. Not all accounts are horrible. Not all companies are horrible. Not all pay is as bad as you say. You must be having a bad day or you need to find a better MTSO.

It was just because I was afraid of these kinds of antics that I terminated with MDI as soon as they had that silly conference call where everybody talked but nobody answered direct questions. Hmmmm....... Believe you me, if my fellow MDIers (okay, I am EX-MDI) knew what was likely coming down the pike, I betcha they would run, too! It sounds like Transcend might be using MQ's old playbook. Just sayin.......
Darlene - ???

I am still at a loss to understand your point.  I never said I did not feel I was entitled to a raise (maybe so, maybe not).  In reading that exact sentence, it says I AM TOLD that I am not entitled to a pay increase just because I do extra work (but OT of course).  Of course I would never work 16 hours a day, 7 days a week.  If I did, I would receive OT pay but not a pay increase.  That was just a figure of speech to share with the original OP about when a pay increase is deemed appropriate by companies (whether I agree with it or not).  It was not meant literally.  I do not really think that is a poor attitude on my part (I do not even know what she makes).  Society has not made me feel less of myself. I do not feel cheated at the moment, although I have been in that situation with another company.  No, I did not tolerate it because I do think more of myself and my skills.  I have never really had men cut me down, or my work.  Actually, I feel pretty good about myself and my job.  If there is a pay range for each of 3 skill levels, and I am making top pay for my level, I really cannot complain about that.  In my overall situation, I am pretty happy.

Now what I could complain about (if it would do any good) is the overall pay being offered by ALL companies for this profession - That is a whole different story actually.  From your comments about attitude, society, and men, it sounds like you may not be in the most desirable situation.  I am sorry for that and I hope you can improve upon that

Oh, and just to clarify to Darlene
I have never, ever, not once felt that I was a **low class of women** nor have I ever felt that about any MT no matter how much experience they do or do not have.  I personally have never had an **I do not deserve better** attitude.  I am not sure exactly how you came up with these attitudes - implying me, the companies, etc.  I simply stated to the OP how pay increases were handled at my company.  I really did not give my opinions about it one way or another, just stated the facts as I have been told.  I have a great deal of self-respect and professionalism and, as I did say in my last post, I believe that I am currently being treated fairly by the company I work for.  This post is simply for clarification purposes. Yes, I feel there are many sad situations out there, but I do not feel that is what I **have become,** as I am not totally sure what that meant.
Thanks Darlene and helper. I do have that email but not getting sm
responses or pay from it. Here is another email address for future reference. ep_barbie2@speednet.com
