Ohhhh okay. So MDI-MD and MDI-FL are not connected?

Posted By: CardMT on 2008-08-28
In Reply to: that's right, MDI-FL bought by Transcent a while back - er

I worked for a hospital that laid all their MTs off and outsourced everything to MDI-MD.  We were all offered jobs with MDI-MD, but I opted not to go with them and after reading all the hoopla below, I feel I made the right decision.  I wonder if any of the gals I worked with are the unhappy or the happy MDI'ers?

Is it only when I'm connected or is it All The Time, even when not connected to their system?

ohhhh....
I was wrong about what this skill was but I do have it, LOL. I always use the # pad to input the info and the DI screen isn't that bad; I wouldn't dream of using the #s at the top for all that info. I've worked at a couple of different nationals and they all had demographic stuff to enter; some came up automatically and some didn't.
Ohhhh...
Thanks so much for the info. I've read so many positives on the board about TT that I was delighted when they called today to offer me a position and immediately grabbed it.

Now I just have to wait for the equipment and paperwork to arrive so I can officially become part of the team, lol!

Ohhhh yes, it certainly does help. Thank you.

Yes, it's only when you are connected to VPN, sm

because essentially you are then on the company's server.  As soon as you disconnect your VPN, that communication path is shut down.

That disclaimer you read when you log onto a VPN is just a formality.

How do you stay connected to the job you are
doing if you answer the phone with call waiting?
You are connected to their system and they can
monitor everything that goes on on the computer, though I really think they have better things to do.
Totally agree. Not only that, they only were connected
when I checked them out, no IC or SE positions then, and acted like I was a bit out of my gourd to request situations that had mainly ER or no OPs.

Just a time-waster for me, totally. And I used to post a link to them on various boards when they first came out, because it sounded like such a great idea (but I usually made sure to mention that I couldn't vouch for them since no experience with them myself ... now I can say that I *definitely* don't vouch for them).
Pretty sure only when you're connected to the VPN

How is SGS connected to TTD (Transcription Doctors)?
Did SGS buy TTD?
They do supply standard, but I have connected my IBM keyboard.

I believe Transnet is how ExText is connected. Easy to use. Most demographics are
