Serving Over 20,000 US Medical Transcriptionists

QA/TT

Yep, you're right. A lot of the ones that have the audacity to turn in a report to QA consistently with 3 or more blanks when it's NOT the quality of the dictation should NOT be transcriptionists. We are not only expected to be excellent typists, but Medical Language Specialists and some of these people are not. Instead of looking up a word or researching it they send the report to QA for them to fix. The QA with TT DOES do audits, too, on a regular basis. I don't know where some of these people are getting this information. Obviously if they are looking at previous reports when in a report themselves and they see errors, they need to know that it is absolutely impossible to look at every report that goes through to the client. When I see a report with a mistake in it I do make a note of the job # and all the information needed to give to QA with a cc: to Support and I let them know. We need to be alert and report errors that we see, not to pick on anyone, but for the medical reports we transcribe on people to be accurate. I know when I was in the hospital recently it crossed my mind whether the person typing my H&P, etc. were getting everything right. I feel it is my responsibility to TT to let them know. An incorrect report reflects bad on me and in turn reflects bad on TT and I don't want that happening. They are a great company to work for and I have absolutely NO complaints whatsoever.
