In Reply to: Nursing vs. MT - Curious

Well, I actually make more than $20 an hour as an MT.  I think everyone's situation is different.  Some people CAN make a lot and do well and other's can't.  Another big difference in being an MT and a nurse is I can take off when I want.  I have a flexible schedule with my companies.  That is NOT the case in nursing and if you take off most of the time you can't make it up.  If I decide to spend an extra hour at the gym, or decide to go visit my daughter or son at school, I can just come back home and make up the work once I'm there.  What works for some probably doesn't work for others, but I would hate to give up being an MT and have to go back into nursing.
