Thank you for trying to help

I am new, and I am just trying to figure everything out. When I posted my original board I was very tired so I did not pay attention to the details of my writing. The school that I am going to is a university, and I am taking an online degree program. I am going to school online because it makes taking care of my infant son possible. My husband is also active duty in the Navy and is currently deployed. Even when he is home, his shifts change so frequently that he would not be able to watch our son if I needed to be out of the house. Our finances are tight, and I know I am not the only one in this situation. I can not afford to pay for daycare and gas if I am not being paid, as I assume the case will be for an externship at any company. There are a few hospitals in the area that may be willing to take in someone who is still a student and teach them the ways, so to say, but I was trying to find an online company willing to do the same. The university I am earning my degree from does not require that the externship be done online, but when I enrolled they told me that it was possible to do so, now that I have thousands of dollars in student loans to get my associates degree in medical transcription they have changed their tune a little. I have spoken to my academic advisor, the head of the clinical placement office, and our career resources office and they have all told me the same thing. Find the contact information for the companies and put them on my placement application and they, the placement team, will handle the rest. This means I do not need to find a company willing to take me in, that they would try. I am just trying to see how many companies I should list on my application for clinical placement before I stop looking and make another financial sacrifice and list the companies in my area. I know my grammar needs work, I am trying really hard to improve my skills. Again, thank you for your help, it is nice to see that there are people who care enough to try.---Christina
