    I'm embarrassed to say...
Actually its what MQ is paying at high end per report, so I kinda thot MQ was the norm. That does sound odd now, sorry LOL...
I agree. I'd have been so embarrassed.
about it.  I would be looking at myself and wondering if I really should be an MT, if I just made careless errors that I could pay more attention to and fix, or if I needed to find another line of work.  That MT even said after 12 years, she doesn't need references.  WHAT?!  I've been an MT for 25 years and I use references every day.  I know a LOT, don't get me wrong.  I can pass any transcription test.  But there are new medications, new equipment, new procedures all the time.
I'VE been there - do not be embarrassed
It's our society that should be embarrassed that people are suffering like this in the U.S. - and that they are even made out to be the villain.

Are things better for you now?

So you are embarrassed. You are also extremely naive.

Just maybe it is how a lot of us are feeling, embarrassed and like a joke! sm
To have to explain to our family and friends how we cannot participate in shopping or get togethers or holidays because we have to work more to make up for the 50% cut in pay due to VR, and then I hear something about they will cut out paying for spaces at another 30% cut, leaving me feeling like what in the world do I do with this career choice.  I am like others that in no way could recomend this profession to anyone.  I am now left with wondering what kind of other career I could muster up where there may be raises instead of paycuts.  People used to be interested in what I did, but not anymore!
You're shocked and embarrassed that your employees
do a million lines per month?  Why, is that bad?  Should they be doing more lines, or should you be paying them more per line?  Wouldn't using Dragon Naturally Speaking get rid of a few of your employees?  It doesn't take nearly as long to edit as it does to type and proof.  Do your employees use text expanders?  What are you really asking here?  The gist of what I'm getting is that you want to make more money.
