Speaking of blanks....I am an MT for DSG and I leave blanks if I am unsure of what is being said...I never guess. When I look at the report after it has been to QA I sometimes see where QA just deleted the QA marker and did not type in anything when the dictator clearly said something.

I have also seen a sentence that contained a QA marker deleted altogether (on more than one occasion).

If I as an MT had the ability to delete sentences and leave out words that I don't understand...then, yeah...I'd be able to upload a blankless report to the client too.

Some of these very QA folks who come to this board whining about MTs leaving blanks are the very folks who do stuff like this.
