I continued with my previous job during the training period and actually a for little time beyond, until I satisfied that MDI was right for me, and to give myself a chance to get up to speed. Near the end it was a little difficult because I was increasing my line commitment with MDI while still maintaining my other job's requirements, but it all worked out.
